Mortimer Farms Wedding

General Questions

What is the rental fee for Mortimer Farms and what does it include?
For full pricing and what’s included in our packages, please check out the details here.

What dates are available?
Our event calendar fills up quickly, so we recommend emailing us to confirm your preferred date!

When are the payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?
To book your date, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit when you sign the contract. This automatically books your date on our calendar. The remaining balance is due 3 weeks before your event during the final meeting, when we finalize guest count, menus, and any add-ons. Tax is applied to each payment, and we may request a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds.

How do I reserve a date?
Fill out this form, then book a tour. Many clients come to the tour ready to book their date (bring your decision makers and form of payment). We suggest coming with a backup date in case your first choice isn’t available. While we’d love for you to visit the farm before booking, it’s not required. Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Your date will be booked when the deposit is submitted, and contract is signed.

Do I need to schedule a tour, or can I just stop by?
We ask that all tours are scheduled by appointment. You can request a tour here!

Will there be another wedding on the same day?
We only host one wedding per day to make sure each couple’s day gets our full attention. We may have other events on the property, like birthday parties or corporate gatherings, but they will be in different areas of the farm.

How do I pick a location?

When booking your wedding, you will choose one main venue for your reception. From there, you have the flexibility to add additional spaces for your ceremony or cocktail hour, allowing you to take advantage of multiple venue settings if you choose. If your heart is set on one venue, you are welcome to host all stages of your wedding in your chosen space—whatever best suits your vision for the day! The goal is to customize your wedding so it perfectly reflects your story, style, and dreams. Along the way, we are more than happy to share our expertise and ideas to make the journey as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
We partner with a hotel just 8 miles away, which offers great rates for our couples. Simply mention that you're getting married at Mortimer Farms to receive their special pricing. It's a convenient, nice option for you and your guests.

How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?
We can accommodate up to 4,000 cars in our parking lot.

Are meals for my vendors provided?

Mortimer Farms provides one standard meal for your photographer, one standard meal for your DJ, and one standard meal for your wedding coordinator. If you upgrade your meal, the upgraded fee will be charged for these 3 meals. Do not include these three people in your final guest count numbers. We ask these three people eat after the bride/groom, family, and wedding party or at the end of all guests.

Do you offer rectangle tables instead of round?
Yes, we offer both rectangle tables and beautiful wood farm tables, depending on your guest count and availability. Check our add-on document for pricing.

Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc.?
Yes, linens, high-end disposable dinnerware, cups, and silverware are all included in your package. If you'd prefer mixed-matched China, stoneware plates, silverware, and/or glasses, we have those options available too. Please see our event enhancement document for details.

What happens in case of rain?
During your final meeting, we’ll work together on a backup plan. We have indoor options like the barn’s 25-foot doors as your ceremony backdrop or the Silos for your ceremony—both offer stunning views and make for a beautiful backdrop.

We plan to have our ceremony offsite or only plan to have our ceremony at Mortimer Farms. Does your fee change?
Our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite, since we only host one wedding per day.

Do you allow dogs onsite for our wedding day?
Due to food safety, we do not allow pets at the farm.

What form of payment does Mortimer Farms accept?
We accept cash, credit card, or check.

My preferred dates are unavailable. Do you have a cancellation waiting list?
Unfortunately, we don’t keep a cancellation waiting list because cancellations are unpredictable.

What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?
You’ll have access to the venue from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., so please plan accordingly!

Do you include a "wedding day coordinator?"
At Mortimer Farms, we manage all venue coordination—food, tables, chairs, bar service, and the overall flow of your event. But we recommend hiring a day-of coordinator or assigning a trusted family member or wedding party member to help out. This person will act as the point of contact for vendors, decor setup, and any quick decisions, like dealing with weather back-ups or addressing guest concerns. They’ll also ensure your wedding timeline stays on track and help with any last-minute challenges, so your day remains stress-free.

We’re happy to recommend a great wedding coordinator if you’d prefer to work with one!

Planning Questions

How will the tables, chairs, etc., be arranged for my event?
At your final meeting, we’ll go over the layout and discuss how to make the day as unique as you are! We’ll offer suggestions, but ultimately, we want to make sure it’s customized just for you.

Can we have sparklers on the property?
Yes, sparklers are allowed! Just let us know so we can make sure we have a metal trash can on standby for disposal.

What time does the music need to end?

We are using a rental company. Can they drop off or pick up items outside of the rental period?
All deliveries and pick-ups must occur during the standard rental period (10 a.m. to 11 p.m.). Please make sure your vendors are aware of this policy.

Are candles allowed?
Yes, candles are allowed.

How far in advance do you need our final headcount?
We need your final headcount three weeks before the event.

How many meetings are included in the planning process?

As part of your package, you’ll received three in-person meetings. This includes the initial tour meeting, a Design & Customization Meeting 90 days after booking and a Final Meeting 4 weeks before your wedding date to review all the final details. We’re here to guide you through each step of the process to ensure everything aligns with your vision.

What happens at the Design & Customization Meeting?

90 days after you book, we will reach out to you for Design & Customization Meeting scheduling. During this meeting, we’ll discuss:

Customizations and add-ons
Your wedding timeline
Decorating services
Destination wedding packages
And more!

What happens during the Final Meeting?

A few months before your big day, we'll reach out to schedule your Final Meeting. We'll cover the following during the Final Meeting:

Final guest count (We suggest asking guests to RSVP 1-2 weeks prior to the Final Meeting.)
Menu selection and finalization
Final venue layout and timeline of the day
Collect payment
Any last-minute adjustments or customizations

If we decide on Mortimers for our wedding cake what flavors do you offer?

  • Chocolate Raspberry Ganache Wedding Cake - Luscious chocolate cake infused with white chocolate ganache, layered with raspberry pastry cream, and lightly frosted with cream cheese frosting in a stylish naked finish.

  • Vanilla Strawberry Ganache Wedding Cake - Delicate vanilla cake infused with white chocolate ganache, layered with strawberry pastry cream, and lightly frosted with cream cheese frosting in a stylish naked finish.

  • Lemon & White Chocolate Ganache Wedding Cake -  Zesty lemon cake infused in white chocolate ganache, complemented by tangy lemon buttercream, with a light cream cheese frosting exterior presented in a minimalist naked look.

  • Vanilla Blackberry Ganache Wedding Cake - Delicate vanilla cake infused with white chocolate ganache, layered with blackberry pastry cream, and lightly frosted with cream cheese frosting in a stylish naked finish.

We will bake the cake, put the cake together, deliver the cake, and decorate the cake with client provided florals (already processed and ready to be placed on the cake).

Recommendations when creating our timeline?

When creating your timeline, please keep in mind that the venue is yours from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. (music must be off by 10 p.m.). You have the flexibility to schedule your ceremony, cocktail hour, photos, dinner, reception, etc. at any time during those hours. Your bar package includes 4 hours of service, and buffet food service (depending on the number of guests) typically lasts an hour. We will schedule our team and all customizations based on your timeline. We kindly ask that you bring a copy of your timeline to the Final Meeting for our records.
